FAQ: FAQ

My dog's coat is in a bad condition .. would you be able to do something?

Yes! If your dogs coat is matted we will be able to sort that issue, no problem. Matting is where the dog’s hair has clumped together which causes a matt which is uncomfortable for a dog.  We would have to try to brush the matt out to avoid causing discomfort to the dog. In some cases, a matt cannot be brushed out and  it will need to be cut out. The process of de-matting adds extra time onto the groom, there fore there is a small extra charge

Do I need to groom my dog between the visits to your salon?

Your dog should normally be groomed by a professional every 6 to 8 weeks.  It keeps your dog’s coat clean and manageable.

Unleashed recommends that in-between the professional grooms, you should maintain your pets coat at home by brushing and combing on a weekly basis.

My dog is scared of the noises and can react aggressively if exposed to loud noises... would you accept her?

We will accept and try our best to ease your dog to the process, if there are issues. We use a range of approaches to de-stress and help dogs to let us work on them. As it takes usually more time in these cases, we apply a small extra charge to compensate the time taken in the process of grooming.

Don't worry we will do our best!

My dog has Fleas!!!!

can you help?

If your dog comes into us and has fleas, they will need to have a flea bath using a specialised shampoo to kill the fleas.  This is not a long-term solution and you will need to purchase a flea treatment for your dog to completely remove the fleas.  To prevent cross contamination to our next client, we will have to deep clean the bathing area and fumigate the salon completely and for that reason a small extra charge will be applied.
